Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s fans furious after commentator wishes to ‘never hear’ from them again
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are almost everywhere and some do not want to hear anything from them. One of them is GB news presenter Darren Grimes.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will give up their royal duties in 2020. After requesting privacy, they moved to the United States to live the life they wanted. They did, however, raise some eyebrows because they are still visible.
Darren Grimes, a British activist, tweeted about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In a tweet, he expressed his desire for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2022.
“One of my most passionate hopes and prayers for 2022 is that the world’s media finally meets the demands for privacy issued by the shy and retiring royals Harry and Meghan, meaning we never have to hear from them ever again,” he wrote per Express.
Fans of the Sussexes reacted quickly to his post. Grimes was slammed by many of them. One user mentioned that if he didn’t want to hear about Duke and Duchess of Sussex, he should stop tweeting about them.
Another user agreed, urging him to set a good example by not mentioning the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in his tweets. The user also highlighted that the royal couple’s request for privacy meant giving them the freedom to choose what they want to share. The user stated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not needed to be hidden.
While many people defended the Sussexes, many others agreed with Grimes. One wished the same writing, “We can live in hope!”
Mercy Muroki, a GB News presenter, also commented on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s request for privacy in an August episode. Muroki claims that the royal couple is “everywhere” in the media.
She felt that she is “forced to listen to their opinions because they’re literally inescapable.” Muroki felt that way because they are on TV, Netflix, podcasts, and books.
In July 2020, Prince Harry announced that he was working on a “wholly truthful” tell-all memoir. Meanwhile, his wife, Meghan Markle, published The Bench, a children’s book.
Muroki’s observations were shared by her co-anchor Patrick Christys. Despite their request for privacy, he claims the couple is “everywhere.”
Muroki came to the conclusion that they wished privacy but were already invading Britain’s privacy.
Oprah Winfrey spoke out in support of the couple. Many people, according to the multimedia mogul, are missing the point when it comes to privacy. “Privacy doesn’t mean silence,” Winfrey stated.
