The family photo, shared by Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, on Instagram, featured Donald Trump, his children, and their partners, all dressed in formal attire, in front of a grand Christmas tree.

Speculation about Melania’s absence was widespread, with some suggesting it could indicate a distancing from her husband. However, an insider speaking to Fox News Digital clarified that Melania was tending to her mother, Amalija Knavs, who is reportedly ill and hospitalized. The source emphasized Melania’s deep devotion to her family, stating, “It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”

The photograph was taken during a gathering at the Mar-a-Lago estate. While Melania has maintained a relatively low profile recently, reports from Page Six indicate her support for Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and plans for more public appearances. An insider claimed, “Trump and his family are so secure that he will become president again that insiders at Mar-a-Lago say he’s reached an agreement with Melania to step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024.”

In addition to caring for her mother, Melania has been involved in helping her son Barron with his college search. One of her last public appearances was at the funeral of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, followed by her attendance at a citizenship naturalization ceremony at the National Archives.
