According to The Hollywood Reporter, at least a couple of films that he had signed as the lead actor and that were meant to be in the works have been put on hold for the time being. According to a few reports gathered by the outlet, Smith’s much-anticipated project ‘Bad Boys 4’ has also been put on hold by another streaming giant, Sony.

In terms of his Sony projects, it was recently announced that Smith had received 40 pages of the script for the upcoming sequel to ‘Bad Boys.’ According to reports received by The Hollywood Reporter, he is involved in additional Sony-backed films as a producer or actor, which may be halted.
The sequels to ‘Hancock’ and ‘Karate Kid’ are among these projects. Fans are also looking forward to the release of Smith’s upcoming Apple project, ‘Emancipation,’ which has yet to be revealed.
The dispute arose after Rock, who was presenting the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, took advantage of the opportunity to make a few jokes, including one about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. He compared the 50-year-old actor’s look to Demi Moore’s in the film ‘G.I. Jane.’ Jada was plainly irritated, rolling her eyes from her seat. She had lately opened up about living with alopecia areata.
Smith stepped on stage seconds later and slapped Rock in the face in front of the audience. “Keep my wife’s name out of your f—-ing mouth,” the 53-year-old actor shouted to a stunned Rock.
Later at the ceremony, when Smith won Best Actor, he apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees, although he didn’t mention Rock by name. He spoke about acting out of love and protection in his impassioned address, stating, “Love makes you do crazy things.”
