Prince William Reportedly reveals Heartbreaking Reason for Never Warming to Meghan Markle
Prince William harbors serious reservations about Meghan Markle, reportedly blaming her for “stealing” his beloved brother, Prince Harry, away from him, according to a new book by royal author Robert Lacey. As the rift between William and Harry continues with no signs of reconciliation, Lacey’s book Battle of the Brothers delves into the early doubts that the Prince of Wales had about Meghan.
The book reveals that William expressed concerns about Meghan’s “agenda” and felt “hurt” and “betrayed” by the growing tension between her and Kate Middleton. William reportedly confided that he believed Meghan was “stealing” Harry from him, a sentiment that contributed to the deepening divide between the brothers.
Lacey’s book quotes a Kensington Palace source, saying, “Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her.” The source added, “They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath—unhinged.” The book further explores the impact of this tension on William, who has been navigating multiple personal challenges. Royal correspondent Jennie Bond, speaking with OK!Magazine highlighted William’s sense of isolation.
She noted, “There have been times in this past year when William has looked incredibly alone, shouldering the responsibility of being a son whose father has cancer, a husband caring for his wife as she also deals with cancer, a father of three young children… and who has no brother or mother to turn to for a bit of TLC.”
As William continues to carry the heavy responsibilities of his royal duties, the strain of his fractured relationship with Harry, compounded by his doubts about Meghan, adds another layer of complexity to the challenges he faces within the Royal Family.
