Donald Trump Jr. faced a sparse audience in Ankeny, Iowa, on Monday, as he arrived over two hours late for his scheduled event. A photo shared by Forbes reporter Sarah Müller showed rows of empty chairs, in stark contrast to a crowded room at 2 p.m., indicating that Iowa caucus attendees were unwilling to wait for the delayed event due to their caucus preparations.
Müller attributed the delay to “weather complications” affecting Trump Jr.’s arrival.
Upon finally addressing the reduced audience, Trump Jr. voiced concerns about alleged laws in the UK that he claimed would result in a two-year jail sentence for misgendering someone, as reported by The Guardian’s David Smith, who was present at the event.
During the Q&A session, an audience member asked Trump Jr. whether he believed his father, former President Donald Trump, was “anointed by God.” In response, Trump Jr. stated, “That’s not for me to decide. There’s a higher power that decides that.”
Another query arose about whether Trump Jr. might consider running for president in 2028. He responded cautiously, saying, “I don’t want to say no,” leaving the possibility open.
