Owen Shroyer, the Infowars host, pleaded guilty in June to a Class A Misdemeanor for Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds on January 6, 2021, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Shroyer was first charged in August 2021, eight months after he was seen outside the US Capitol on January 6. After defending himself against these charges for almost two years, he decided to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

As part of his agreement, Shroyer permitted the government to inspect his social media accounts. It was highlighted that the government would consider dismissing other charges during sentencing if Shroyer cooperated in letting them review his social media for any potentially incriminating information.

In his official statement, Shroyer acknowledged attending speeches at the White House Ellipse for the “Stop the Steal” rally. He recounted his actions that day, expressing strong sentiments towards those he viewed as betraying the country.

Despite Shroyer and Alex Jones advising people against entering the Capitol, claiming it could be a trap, Shroyer was later arrested. The Department of Justice prosecutors have recommended a 120-day prison sentence for him.
