Donald Trump’s loyalists are expressing their displeasure after a conservative news outlet, The New York Post, published a poll indicating that a majority of Americans approve of the decision to remove Trump from the primary ballot in Colorado.

According to the online YouGov survey reported by The New York Post, 54% of respondents either “strongly” or “somewhat” approved of the court’s ruling, while 35% expressed disapproval.

Trump ally Laura Loomer, a frequent contributor to the former president’s content, voiced her frustration on Thursday, stating, “No the hell we do not. This is some more bullshit from Rupert Murdoch’s [New York Post].” Loomer accused Rupert Murdoch of wanting to “make Trump a non-person,” casting doubt on the credibility of any Trump-related information from his publications.

Loomer’s sentiments echoed across social media, with Trump supporters expressing their outrage on The New York Post’s accounts. Comments on the publication’s social media platforms conveyed strong opposition to the poll results.

One user responded, “Trump has been convicted of zero insurrection crimes, so how can he be removed from the ballot?” while others dismissed the poll as “propaganda” and “fake media polls.”

Another Trump supporter commented on Loomer’s post, stating, “Yep, it’s just propaganda. Fortunately, the rule of law doesn’t take into consideration any fake media polls.” Another user accused The New York Post of making up the information, terming it “typical MSM journalism.”

A MAGA account highlighted the perceived shift in The New York Post’s stance, stating, “Wow, the [New York Post] is going FULL ON against Trump too. 2024 is gonna be crazy BUT…. It’s only making him stronger!” The user asserted that The Post is “TRASH” and hinted at addressing institutions allegedly influenced by external forces.

The controversy surrounding the poll underscores the heightened sensitivity among Trump supporters to media coverage that diverges from their perspective, setting the stage for an eventful political landscape in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.
