Donald Trump Jr., 46, and Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, 38, are making waves with their budding relationship—but not all of the attention has been positive.

According to insiders, Trump family allies are in damage control mode, reportedly urging Don Jr. to end the relationship. Bettina’s past support for the Black Lives Matter movement and strict COVID-19 restrictions has raised concerns among Don Jr.’s inner circle, with critics questioning if she’s “MAGA enough” to fit into the Trump orbit.

Adding fuel to the fire, Bettina’s reputation as a Palm Beach party regular has ruffled feathers among those who feel it clashes with the image of the Trump family.

The pair’s relationship reportedly blossomed just weeks before Donald Trump is set to be sworn in as the 47th president on January 20, 2025. Bettina is already rumored to be planning a high-profile debut at Trump’s inauguration next month.

Not everyone is thrilled. A source close to the transition team told the Daily Mail, “It’s one thing to worry about Palm Beach shenanigans making a stop at Mar-a-Lago. But to let those problems penetrate the White House is a new level of trouble.”

Some close to Don Jr. have speculated about Bettina’s motives, claiming she may be using him as a stepping stone to climb the social ladder. Her influencer lifestyle and penchant for high-profile connections have sparked whispers that she’s “in it for the perks.”

Despite the chatter, Don Jr. appears unfazed. The couple recently took a romantic trip to Italy, just days after news of their relationship broke. “They know there’s going to be gossip and trash-talking,” a friend of Don Jr. shared. “That’s just the world of Palm Beach and, you know, the universe they live in.”

Adding to the drama, Bettina made headlines earlier in the year when photos surfaced of her and Don Jr. together while he was still publicly engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle. By December, their four-year engagement was officially over, and President-elect Trump named Guilfoyle as Ambassador to Greece.

While some, like fashion designer Stacey Bendet, have defended Bettina, calling her “the kindest soul” and “witty and wise,” others remain skeptical.

Rumors also swirl that Bettina may be eyeing bigger connections, such as Elon Musk, who is poised to lead Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency. Critics claim Bettina’s PR firm actively tips off paparazzi about her outings with Don Jr., fueling accusations that she’s using the Trump name to boost her profile.

As the controversy unfolds, the relationship continues to draw mixed reactions, with insiders divided over Bettina’s place in Don Jr.’s life and the broader Trump brand.
