We got our hands on the brand new TT 1931 Reverso specially made for the US market. It retains the exact same dimensions as the standard model that will remain in the lineup in perpetuity, but adds just a few distinguishing traits: a darker patina on the hands and markers, smaller, more true to form hands, and a special, hand-made strap stiched over one day’s work by Polo bootmakers to the Argentine national team and the occasional King, Casa Fagliano.
This limited edition of 100 pieces is not numbered in any way and distinguished only by the traits mentioned above. It is, from what i’ve seen, selling very quickly (most were pre-ordered back in March when we ran this original post on it) and those that are buying it are true horological purists.
The resulting watch is stunning, and really a reminder of what an artisinal product should be – the Casa Fagliano strap is imperfect and beautiful. The shorter, pointed hands are designed to mirror the hour markers perfectly, as you can see in the first picture above.
The Tribute to 1931 Reverso is the ultimate Reverso, whether it be this special edition with hand-made strap or the standard TT 1931, and it is what will keep fans coming to JLC for years to come.
These special edition, US only Reversos are available at the Beverly Hills boutique for $8000.
