This says a lot, despite being only one word.

On January 6, 2021, while her husband’s supporters assaulted the U.S. Capitol and attempted to prevent the certification of the 2020 election, former first lady Melania Trump had the option to appeal for peace, as the Salon reported.

She said no.

In a text message exchange she allegedly had that day with Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham—who at the time served as the first lady’s chief of staff—was exposed.

Later that day, Grisham, a former White House press secretary and director of communications, announced his resignation without mentioning the assault on the Capitol. She stated on Twitter that she was “proud of the many successes of this Administration” instead.

Like other people who worked for the Trump, Grisham held up her criticism until a book of memoirs. The image she shared on Tuesday supports a story from that book.

While Melania Trump didn’t tweet on January 6, she did issue a statement five days later in which she stated that she was disappointed and dishearted with what happened last week as well as her personal grievances.

“I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me,” she griped.
