The Grammy Award-winning rapper Kanye West appeared to be lying after claiming he had never received the paperwork of his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
Last week, the “Donda” hitmaker appeared on Revolt TV’s “Drink Champs” podcast to level shocking accusations about his soon-to-be ex-wife.
On the podcast, the Yeezy creator blasted the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, saying she “divorced” him on “Saturday Night Live.”
Kim made her hosting debut on the hit show a few weeks ago, as was widely reported.
The 44-year-old musician then accused the show’s writers of forcing her to discuss their divorce in her opening monologue because “they just wanted to get that bar off, and I ain’t never seen the papers.”
“We’re not divorced.”
Kanye went on to say how it may be funny to some, but the claims made by his ex on the show “ain’t no joke to me.”
“My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to stay together.”
Unlike his earlier denials, there is evidence that Kanye West has seen the divorce documents.
Radar Online obtained the response Ye filed to the KKW Beauty mogul’s appeal, which was filed on April 9, and it even included a signature at the bottom.
In the documents, Kanye West stated that their marriage had ended owing to “irreconcilable issues.” Their four children are North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, and he has requested joint physical and legal custody.
The “Jesus Is King” artist also demanded that neither party get spousal support.
His response came after the reality personality filed for divorce after seven years of marriage in February.
Kanye West’s claim of ignorance is especially dubious, given that he is in the process of settlement. Last month, he was able to get his share of their combined real estate. Kim will be the sole owner of their $60 million Hidden Hills mansion.
Kim Kardashian and her family are reportedly concerned that Kanye West may have another meltdown as a result of her romance rumors with Pete Davidson.
According to a Page Six source, the Kardashian-Jenners are concerned about how the rapper would react to Kim spending so much time with the “SNL” star.
