Jennifer Garner’s Relationship with John Miller Reportedly Strained Due to Her Role as ‘Marriage Counselor’ for Ben Affleck Amid His Split from Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Garner’s relationship with her boyfriend, John Miller, is reportedly facing challenges due to her involvement as a “marriage counselor” for her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, amid his separation from Jennifer Lopez, according to a new report.

Rumors of trouble between Lopez and Affleck began circulating in May 2024, with Lopez officially filing for divorce from the Gone Girl actor in August. Since then, Affleck has been relying heavily on Garner for emotional support, which has reportedly caused tension in her relationship with Miller, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Garner and Affleck, who were married for 18 years before their 2018 divorce, share three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. After her split from Affleck, Garner began dating Miller. However, their relationship has reportedly become strained as Affleck’s dependence on his ex-wife has increased during his ongoing divorce from Lopez.

A source close to the situation revealed to the publication, “John doesn’t like sharing Jen, and there is a divide when it comes to her and Ben.” The source added, “He wishes it wasn’t like that because he understands they are a family, but it gets to him like it would anyone.”

Despite his concerns, the source noted that Miller isn’t worried about Garner and Affleck rekindling their romance. However, Miller has found it difficult to cope with Garner’s continued support for Affleck during his split from Lopez. “John is looking forward to Ben and J.Lo’s split being done so he can start focusing on Jen,” the insider said.

The source further shared that while both Garner and Miller want their relationship to improve, it will take time and effort to reach a better place. “They both want to be in a better place, but some work needs to be done.”

The insider concluded by noting that Garner’s unique relationship with Affleck while challenging for Miller, is something that Garner values. “The relationship that Ben and Jen have is different, and where that bothers John, Jen actually likes that it is different because that is what attracted her to John in the first place.”
