Gwen Stefani is filled with excitement as she prepares to reunite with her No Doubt bandmates for a highly anticipated performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, come April. The news of their reunion comes after a hiatus of nearly a decade, making this event a significant moment for both the band and their fans.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on a Wednesday night, Stefani shared her thoughts and expectations about getting back on stage with Adrian Young, Tony Kanal, and Tom Dumont. With a mix of joy and nostalgia, she expressed, “I know it’s going to be amazing. I’m so excited, and I think what is going to be hilarious is I know what’s going to happen.

I’m going to get on stage, look around, and just start cracking up because it’s just going to be like riding a bike. We’re going to be like, ‘What are we doing? We’re in the future right now, we’re at Coachella.’ It’s going to be bizarre.”

Despite the excitement, Stefani admitted that the band has yet to start rehearsals for their Coachella performance, which is only a few months away. She candidly revealed her need to brush up on some of the band’s classic hits, acknowledging that she doesn’t quite remember how to perform them. “I don’t remember them, no, not at all.

I don’t! I think I’m going to have to learn probably like, eight or nine [songs],” she admitted. In a moment of excitement, Stefani let slip that one of the songs they plan to perform is “Different People,” one of the first songs she ever wrote, which is featured on No Doubt’s third album, “Tragic Kingdom,” released in 1995.

The audience’s enthusiastic response to this revelation caught Stefani off guard, leading her to jovially attempt to backtrack, “I’m not supposed to,” followed by a more reserved, “We might do that one.” No Doubt’s return to the stage marks a momentous occasion for the band and their fans, as their last collective work, the album “Push and Shove,” was released in 2012, and their most recent live performance took place in 2015.

The band’s inclusion in the Coachella lineup, alongside other headliners such as Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat, is a testament to their enduring legacy and influence on the music industry. Fans are eagerly awaiting this reunion, ready to see how the band will bring their iconic sound to one of the most celebrated music festivals in the world.
