Gypsy Rose Blanchard has announced her decision to step away from sharing personal updates on social media. The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star took to TikTok on Saturday, November 17, to share the news with her followers. “I will no longer be posting personal content on this public platform,” the 33-year-old wrote in her post.
Blanchard reflected on her journey since her release, explaining her reasons for this change. “Since I was released, I have shared with supporters my hardships and achievements through the lens of social media,” she said. However, she now feels it’s time to prioritize her privacy and that of her loved ones.
“However, I find myself at a crossroads that leads me to desire a more private life sharing with only family and close friends these special moments,” she continued. Blanchard, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker, also expressed gratitude to her followers for their ongoing support. She assured them that updates on her upcoming memoir, My Time To Stand, would still be shared.
Additionally, Blanchard stated that she will only accept social media requests from people she knows personally, highlighting the importance of protecting her mental health and family. “This decision was made with consideration to the well-being of my own mental health as well as the overall well-being of my family and daughter,” she explained. “We are all doing very well and are in good spirits, excited for our futures moving forward. Thank you.”
