Riley Keough Reveals Teenage Arrest That Left Lisa Marie Presley ‘Pissed’
Riley Keough recently opened up about her rebellious teenage years and an incident that left her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, far from pleased. During the January 15 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 35-year-old actress shared a story about getting arrested as a minor—an event she had never publicly discussed before.
“I would sneak out and, you know, hang out with people I shouldn’t [and] wasn’t allowed to, and getting arrested,” Keough admitted. She revealed that she had never even seen her mugshot, explaining, “I was a minor. I had an edgy moment.”
Keough recounted that the arrest happened after she thought she was attending a party at a friend’s house, only to discover it was actually a house listed for sale. “The police came, and most people got away. Then about 10 of us got arrested. My mom was pissed,” she said.
At the time of the incident, Lisa Marie Presley was in Las Vegas. “I had to call her and tell her to come back from Vegas and take me up in prison,” Keough continued, adding that it was ultimately her aunt who picked her up. “I’ve never told anyone this.”
Presley’s reaction to her daughter’s arrest was straightforward. “She was like, ‘This is on you, girl,’” Keough recalled with a laugh. Fortunately for the young actress, the incident never made it to the media. “Luckily it didn’t get — it wasn’t in the papers,” she said.
Despite avoiding public scrutiny, Keough faced consequences at home. “I was grounded for like three months,” she shared. “I was grounded on my like 16th or 15th birthday or something.”
The story offers a rare glimpse into Keough’s teenage years and her relationship with her late mother, showcasing a mix of teenage rebellion, parental discipline, and humor in hindsight.
