Chrissy Teigen has provided an emotional update to her 41.9 million Instagram followers as wildfires continue to rage across Southern California. The 39-year-old model and cookbook author revealed her state of shock and fear as she prepared to evacuate her $17.5 million Beverly Hills mansion.

“This is surreal,” Teigen wrote, sharing a mirror selfie from her closet. “I’m very scared now. Packing.” Teigen, her husband John Legend, 46, and their four children—Luna Simone, 8, Miles Theodore, 6, Esti Maxine, 23 months, and Wren Alexander, 18 months—are among the 100,000 Los Angeles residents forced to leave their homes due to the uncontrolled wildfires consuming the region.

In a previous Instagram Story, Teigen described the fires as a “hellscape” and admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the devastation. “We are okay as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t who are not okay,” she wrote.

The Cravings author also expressed gratitude to those who reached out and called for collective efforts to support the affected community. “Thank you for reaching out. Looking for any and all ways to help our community right now, please send anything you see,” she urged her followers.

Teigen concluded her message with heartfelt appreciation for those on the front lines. “And God bless the firefighters and all first responders,” she wrote.

Teigen and Legend, who have been married since 2013, purchased their Beverly Hills home in 2020. The ongoing crisis highlights the widespread impact of the wildfires, which have left countless residents displaced and communities devastated.

As Teigen’s family joins many others in navigating this uncertain time, her updates reflect the shared struggles and resilience of those affected by the fires while emphasizing the critical role of community and first responders in these trying circumstances.
