Prince Harry’s solo UK trip without Meghan Markle sparks concerns

Prince Harry has been making headlines this week during his solo trip to New York, where he participated in various charity initiatives and even made a notable appearance on a popular US talk show.

His engagement included a heartfelt speech at the Clinton Global Initiative, where he discussed online safety and paid tribute to his mother, Princess Diana, during a panel about the Diana Award.

However, royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop pointed out that Meghan Markle’s absence was evident and could impact Harry’s brand.

Speaking to the Mirror, she remarked that Harry’s individual efforts seem “a little thin,” especially considering the couple’s powerful joint ventures in the past.

“Alone, Harry was a second-rung royal, or as he puts it, the Spare. Meghan was a bit-part Hollywood actress in Suits.

Together, they were a force to be reckoned with—mega stars and mega bucks,” Dunlop explained.

She continued, “But now, back on his own, the Duke’s brand looks, well, a little thin, no matter how adeptly he navigates his role in the American royal-adjacent sphere.”

Meanwhile, Meghan has reportedly stayed at their home in Montecito, California, taking care of their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
