The Duke of Sussex had hoped to mark this milestone with a party surrounded by his close pals, but Meghan has allegedly vetoed the idea.

A source close to the couple revealed that Meghan is concerned about the public image they have carefully cultivated and also cited security risks as a reason for her decision. “Harry was very keen to go to the UK and party with his friends, and he still would if Meghan let him, but she’s saying absolutely not,” the insider said. “For one thing, it’s a bad look for their brand.”

The source went on to explain Meghan’s concerns about how Harry’s plans could be perceived. “They’re hoping to hang out with the crème of society, with the Hollywood and political elite, so the idea of him knocking shots and acting like a fool with his pals in Mykonos or wherever is just the worst possible idea,” the insider added.

Instead, the California-based royal couple is expected to celebrate with a low-key gathering, prioritizing family responsibilities over Harry’s desire to reconnect with his partying days. However, the insider noted that Prince Harry is disappointed at having to let his friends in the UK down, as he had made promises to them and knows they were looking forward to a big celebration.

Despite his disappointment, Harry recognizes that it would be “hard” to “justify that kind of wild party animal behavior at this stage of his life.” The source explained that Harry understands, despite his longing to “turn back the clock,” that those days are behind him. The Duke of Sussex has come to terms with his responsibilities and acknowledges that while he had fun before getting married, “he really wasn’t the best version of himself back then.”
