Royal Commentator Claims Meghan Markle Is ‘Rebranding Herself’ For New Chapter in her Life
Meghan Markle is “rebranding” to be more about “the Meghan she was” before marrying Prince Harry and joining the royal family, according to a royal commentator.
On the Thursday episode of their podcast “Royally Obsessed,” Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie, co-hosts and royal commentators, discussed the Duchess of Sussex’s recent TV appearance and how it appeared to mark a “new chapter” in her life.
Markle recently demonstrated her comedic side on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” in which she participated in a prank sketch in which she did spontaneous squats in public and introduced herself as “Mommy,” among other funny acts.
According to Fiorito, Markle appears to have reduced her use of royal references and homages in order to emphasize that she is no longer bound by royal tradition.
“There wasn’t really a royal allusion made, aside from her name, on ‘Ellen,’ on the prank portion,” the royal analyst stated. “I felt that was a choice, where Meghan is moving on from that and she doesn’t have to be serious all of the time,” says the author.
Fiorito went on to explain that her favorite part of Markle’s presence on the talk show was seeing her in a different light.
According to Bowie, Markle mostly concentrated on her “pre-royal existence” during her sit-down interview with host Ellen DeGeneres.
“For her, that feels like the start of a new chapter. She appears to be redefining herself to be more Meghan, the woman she was before Harry. It’s undeniably a decision she’s taken “Bowie shared this information with her co-host. “She spoke topics that she was unable to discuss during her time as a royal. She will undoubtedly reveal more of herself in the future.”
According to the podcast co-hosts, Markle’s recent appearance was “eye-opening” for many viewers and was “such a departure” from her explosive March interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the duchess and Prince Harry detailed their troubles before they stepped back as working royals last year.
During her interview with Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month, Markle talked about going on auditions as an actress before meeting Prince Harry, as well as the old Ford Explorer Sport she used to drive.
According to the former “Suits” star, the key on the driver’s side door wouldn’t work, so she had to get in and out through the trunk.
As per Washingtonnewsday, during her presentation, the duchess donned a cream shirt with voluminous sleeves and cutouts, black leggings, and was joined by her longtime friend and makeup artist.
