Princess Kate is expected to mark a personal family milestone just days before a possible appearance alongside King Charles, as her younger brother James Middleton turns 38 on April 15.
Kate, who is currently spending the holidays with Prince William and their three children—George, Charlotte, and Louis—is said to be enjoying some much-needed downtime away from the public eye. But despite the family getaway, there’s a strong chance she’ll privately celebrate her brother’s birthday with loved ones.

Though no official word has come from Kensington Palace, insiders suggest that the Princess of Wales, known for being close to her siblings, may not miss the chance to mark the special occasion.

James recently opened up about their bond in a rare interview with Hello! Magazine, where he reflected on his childhood and the role Kate and Pippa played in his early years. “We’re a close family, and we’re fortunate in that we see lots of each other. My parents play a good role in getting us all together in that respect,” he shared.
He went on to say, “We’ve been brought up knowing that you can’t take family for granted. You don’t get to choose them, as you can choose your friends. But I don’t think you can give up on your family like you can sometimes with friends.”

The latest update about Kate comes just as Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla will be joined by other members of the royal family at the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel on April 20. Whether the Waleses will attend remains uncertain, with no confirmation yet from Kensington Palace.
For now, it looks like Kate may be keeping things low-key, focusing on family and personal moments before any potential return to public royal duties.
