Kate Middleton is said to be deeply upset after Prince Harry’s latest comments during his ongoing legal battle over security in the UK, with insiders claiming the Princess of Wales had been quietly hoping to mend the fractured relationship between Prince William and his estranged brother.
According to Heat Magazine, Kate, who has long shared a warm bond with Harry from the early days of his royal life, has been reflecting on their past connection, especially following her recent cancer recovery. Sources say she had a change of heart about the continued tension within the family and was open to reconciliation.

However, Harry’s latest claims appear to have struck a painful chord. Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex attended a two-day legal proceeding in London, where he continued to challenge the UK Home Office’s decision to downgrade his police protection.
During the closed-door hearings, Harry reportedly suggested that the move was an intentional strategy by the royal institution, or “the Firm,” to manipulate him into staying within the royal fold.
He stated that the change in security arrangements “confirmed [ed] [his] worst fears.” “Harry’s allegations didn’t come as a huge surprise to most of the royals,” an insider told Heat. “They’ve grown very accustomed to him laying the blame for his troubles squarely at his family’s door.”
But it was Kate, 42, who was reportedly “particularly devastated by the turn of events.” “It still stings that [Harry’s] managed to have yet another dig, insinuating that they forged this elaborate plot to keep him and Meghan trapped in the UK,” the source added.

Kate and Harry shared a close relationship during his time as a senior royal, often seen laughing together at public engagements. Their bond was once described as more sibling-like than formal, making the deterioration in relations all the more painful for the Princess of Wales.
Harry, who remains based in California with Meghan Markle and their two children, is still awaiting a verdict in the security case. Following the hearings, he expressed frustration over how the proceedings were handled.
