“She’s Not the Evil Person the Royal Family Paints Her to Be” — Meghan Markle Praised as ‘Warm and Considerate’ by Former Bodyguard Amid Allegations
Meghan Markle has received praise from a former employee amid ongoing reports suggesting she is difficult to work with. Steve Davies, who once served as the Duchess of Sussex’s bodyguard, has spoken out in defense of Markle, describing her as a “warm and considerate” person who remains kind under pressure.
In an interview with GB News, Davies highlighted Meghan’s friendly nature and willingness to help others, countering the negative public perceptions of her. “She gets a bad rap for being a not very good person to work with, that she was this evil person in the Royal Family,” Davies explained. However, his personal experience painted a very different picture of the Duchess.
“I saw her, from working at the studio to working with charities to working with dog walkers and cleaners,” Davies shared, adding, “There’s one huge lesson I learned from her: It gives respect to get respect.”
Davies also reflected on how Meghan’s life changed dramatically in 2016 after she began dating Prince Harry. “I felt sorry [for her] because she’d gone from being a celebrity to being a member of the biggest family in the world,” he noted, acknowledging the pressures that come with transitioning into the British royal family.
His comments provide a stark contrast to the criticisms Meghan has faced in the media, particularly concerning claims of being a difficult boss. Davies’ account emphasizes her compassion, kindness, and ability to treat those around her with respect, offering a more nuanced perspective of the Duchess’s character.
