Prince Harry seems to have accepted the distance that has grown between him and his elder brother, Prince William, along with William’s wife, Kate Middleton. Living in the U.S. with his own family, Harry has become increasingly detached from his royal roots and his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with the divide reportedly deepening over time.

The rift was particularly apparent at a recent gathering in London, where both brothers attended the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes. Observers noted that, despite their shared presence, they did not exchange a single word. Royal expert Phil Dampier provided insight into this continued estrangement, telling Fabulous, “They are as far apart as ever, and William’s priority is to look after Kate as she recovers from abdominal surgery and to step up his royal duties to support the King.”

Dampier also noted Harry’s brief visits to the UK, which tend to be short and disconnected. “It does seem odd that Harry likes flying in and out for less than two days,” he commented. “He did the same with the Coronation, and it looks as though he is simply not interested in seeing any of his old friends.”

Referring to the Duke’s seemingly solitary status within his homeland, Dampier remarked, “He has become ‘Harry No Mates’ as far as the UK is concerned.” He suggested that Harry’s shift in friendships could be linked to past tensions. “Some of his friends in England didn’t take to Meghan, and he resented it, so he has cut them out of his life,” Dampier explained.

As Harry continues to prioritize his new life in the U.S., it appears that he has made peace with the distance from his family and former connections in the UK, navigating his path independently of the royal traditions he once shared with his brother.
