Prince Harry and Meghan Reportedly Dubbed ‘Most Unpopular Kids in School’ in America

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are reportedly facing a sharp decline in popularity in America, with one Hollywood publicist labeling them the “most unpopular kids in school.”
Hollywood publicist Jane Owen discussed the couple’s standing in the U.S. in an interview with The Standard, noting the stark contrast between the opportunities they had in Hollywood and their current reputation.
“Quite frankly, they were given every opportunity to shine in Hollywood. They had a huge deal at a top streaming network with a massive budget and an audience eager to listen and watch,” Owen explained. However, Owen believes the couple has squandered their chances. “They have done worse than nothing — they have actively destroyed the opportunities they were given,” she said.
She went on to compare Hollywood’s competitive environment to high school, where popularity plays a significant role. “I’ve always said Hollywood could be compared to high school in terms of how people behave, and to use that analogy, they’ve become the most unpopular kids in school.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to step back from royal duties in 2020, relocating to California with their son, Archie. Since their departure, the couple has been vocal about their grievances with the Royal Family, accusing them of racism towards their son and discussing their challenges in high-profile interviews.
In California, the Sussexes welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet, while continuing to work on various projects, including their high-profile Netflix deal. Despite these efforts, their public image has faltered, and they now seem to struggle with regaining the positive reception they initially received.
The couple’s journey has sparked a mix of support and criticism, but the recent remarks from Owen suggest their efforts to build a new life outside the monarchy may have led to unintended consequences, especially in the competitive landscape of Hollywood.
