Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are facing calls to adjust their public narrative, particularly in light of the situation with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and their connection to the Royal Family. Jenna Clarke, Associate Editor at The Australian, expressed her hope for improved relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family for the benefit of the young prince and princess.

This development comes amid news that the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation experienced a significant decrease in funding. Despite this, the foundation remains optimistic about its future growth. Clarke, speaking to Sky News Australia, expressed her desire for the Sussexes to focus more on their family and heritage, rather than financial matters, for the sake of their children, told Express.

Speculation about a potential reunion between the Sussex family, currently residing in the United States, and their British royal relatives has been ongoing. This speculation has been fueled by the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

Despite ongoing tensions, there are reports of Meghan considering a partial reunion with the royal family. She is reportedly deliberating over splitting her time between California and a residence in Kensington Palace, London.

Efforts towards reconciliation appear to be underway, as evidenced by a phone call made by the Sussexes to King Charles on his birthday, during which Archie and Lilibet sang to their grandfather.

However, the Sussexes’ popularity in Britain remains a complex issue. Royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggests that there is still a path for them to regain public favor, drawing parallels with Queen Camilla’s journey in reshaping her public image.

Sources close to the Sussexes indicate that they are strategizing to mend their relationship with King Charles and the wider Windsor family. Harry reportedly plans to reach out to his father this Christmas. However, the Sussexes are not expected to join the royal family’s Christmas gathering at Sandringham.

A source highlighted Harry’s desire for a better relationship with his father, emphasizing the familial bond. Yet, repairing the relationship with Prince William might be more challenging, especially in light of the allegations made in Harry’s book “Spare.”

Esther Krakue, a commentator speaking to Sky News Australia, advised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to adopt a more grateful and contrite attitude, similar to that of Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales. Krakue emphasized the importance of self-awareness and duty within the Royal Family, suggesting that the Sussexes have not fully embraced these values, as evidenced by their departure from royal duties and subsequent public statements and publications.
