A senior adviser to Donald Trump, Jason Miller, sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for not “thinking through” her running mate options, igniting a flurry of taunts and backlash. Miller’s comments came on Wednesday morning in a post on X, filled with characteristic Trump team bluntness.

“Holy s—,” Miller wrote. “Just received a briefing on the ‘weirdness’ of Kamala’s VP pick. They clearly have not thought this through.”

Miller’s post quickly sparked reactions, with many pointing out the controversies surrounding Trump’s own running mate, Senator J.D. Vance. Vance has been embroiled in disputes over his claims that childless Americans are sociopaths and bizarre allegations involving sofas and dolphins.

Followers on X were quick to highlight the irony. Jason Paris quipped, “Apparently they think she picked JD Vance too,” while Blue Finn added, “Says the guys who chose JD Couch Vance.” Another user, John, remarked, “But Trump thought through the couch h—— JD Vance…”

The origin of the rumor about Harris’s VP pick was later revealed to be a concoction inspired by Hunter S. Thompson, aimed at forcing Vance to respond. Despite the baselessness of the claim, it added fuel to the ongoing political sparring.

Some observers took the opportunity to mock Miller and the Trump team. Ron Filipkowski commented, “Spoken like someone whose job hangs on every poll right now.” Jeff McCutcheon noted, “Once again they are guilty of what they accuse.” Art Vandelay sarcastically reassured, “No worries. If all else fails, I am sure Jason can go back to his amazingly successful social media platform, GETTR.”

Others questioned the legitimacy of Miller’s information. Sir Garrett Moore asked, “Who is giving Jason Miller ‘briefings?'”

As Trump’s team attempts to shift their campaign focus from President Joe Biden to Harris, the public continues to dissect and respond to each new development with a mix of skepticism and humor. Miller’s comments, intended to cast doubt on Harris’s decision-making, have instead drawn attention back to the controversies within Trump’s own camp.
