In a fiery new interview with Fox Noticias, President Donald Trump took aim at both Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, accusing the former president of being a figurehead controlled by “radical left lunatics” and suggesting Jill had an outsized influence during her husband’s time in office.
When asked if Jill Biden was essentially acting as an “autopen” for her husband, Trump replied, “No, I don’t think so… but she was certainly involved,” referencing her controversial presence at a Cabinet meeting in September 2024. “They had a lot of bad people. They had a lot of radical left lunatics in there, and I think he was perfect,” Trump said of Joe Biden. “He was perfect for them because he didn’t have a clue.”
Biden’s mental fitness has long been a subject of public debate, which only intensified after a widely criticized debate performance in 2024. Since leaving office, several books have questioned his cognitive ability and how much control he really had during his presidency, reports Fox News.
Trump didn’t hold back on that front either. Fresh off a health checkup at Walter Reed, he told reporters aboard Air Force One that he felt “in very good shape” and confirmed he had taken yet another cognitive test.
“I got everyone — I got it all right. I’ve taken the cognitive test, I think, four times, and I’ve gotten nothing wrong. That’s what the American people want,” Trump said, throwing shade at his opponents. “Biden refused to take it, Kamala (Harris) refused to take it.”
In the same interview, Trump proudly declared the U.S.-Mexico border “100% perfect,” celebrating a reported drop in illegal crossings. “It’s perfect now, and I don’t know if you can tell. Perfect. But it’s going to get better,” he said, adding that legal immigration remains the goal. “We want people to come in, but they have to come in legally—and everybody agrees to that.”
Trump also touted his new trade policies, referring to the April 2 announcement of sweeping tariffs as “Liberation Day.” “We’re making tremendous amounts of money… hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs from other countries that for many, many decades just ripped off the United States.” With just 100 days back in office, Trump’s tone signals he’s not backing down — and he’s not holding back.
