Trump Says Some of His 2024 Competitors Could Make ‘Good Potential Cabinet Members’

In an interview with Fox News‘s Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, former President Donald Trump expressed openness to considering certain 2024 GOP opponents as potential cabinet members if he were to secure the nomination and win the presidency.

When asked about the possibility of a running mate among his challengers, Trump praised Vivek Ramaswamy and Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) in particular. He acknowledged the presence of talented individuals on the stage and expressed his admiration for some of them, noting that he maintains friendly relationships with a few.

Trump went on to state that he sees potential cabinet members among the 2024 contenders. He specifically mentioned Tim Scott as someone who could be part of a hypothetical second Trump administration.

While Trump has yet to officially declare a running mate, his comments indicate his openness to considering certain rivals for key positions in his cabinet should he secure the nomination and be elected as president once again.
