In a fiery series of posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, President Donald Trump reignited his ongoing feud with The New York Times, singling out prominent journalists in a scathing tirade. Trump took particular aim at journalist Maggie Haberman, a long-time reporter covering Trump’s political career, following a recent article that discussed supposed plans for the Department of Defense to brief billionaire Elon Musk on Chinese military strategies.
Though the details of the report remain unconfirmed by official sources, the former president responded with characteristic intensity. “The Failing New York Times insists on using Liddle’ Peter Baker, a really bad writer and Obama biographer and sycophant, to write many of the long and boring Fake News hit pieces against me,” Trump wrote in one of his Sunday morning posts.

Not stopping there, Trump expanded his criticism to include Baker’s wife, Susan Glasser, and Haberman, using derisive nicknames and questioning their journalistic credibility. “The only two people with less talent than Peter are his ‘wife,’ the lovely Susan Glasser, and, of course, Maggot Hagerman, who may be the least talented writer in the entire stable of New York Times’ MEDIOCRITY!” he added.
Trump has frequently accused The New York Times of bias, often labeling it as “fake news” and claiming it plays a role in political efforts against him. On Sunday, he once again pushed that narrative, targeting the editorial direction of the publication.
“There’s something really wrong with these people, and their SICK, TRUMP DERANGED EDITORS,” he posted. The series of remarks culminated in a familiar refrain from the former president, alleging that the newspaper actively worked to influence the outcome of the 2020 election.

“They did everything within their power to help rig the Election against me,” Trump concluded. “How did that work out??? MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Neither The New York Times nor the journalists named in the posts immediately responded to Trump’s comments. The former president, who remains a dominant force in Republican politics, continues to use his platform to rally supporters and lash out at perceived media adversaries ahead of the 2024 election season.
