Former President Donald Trump found himself under fire from an unexpected source on Sunday—his own MAGA supporters—after he pushed a conspiracy theory claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris was using AI to fake her large crowd sizes. Trump’s claim, which was quickly debunked by CNN as “just false,” has sparked criticism even from within his loyal base, with some suggesting that this behavior makes him unfit for the presidency, as per reports by The Washington Post.

The controversy began when Trump posted his accusation on his social media platform, Truth Social. Instead of the usual chorus of agreement, some of his supporters urged him to reconsider. One user, @Trumpbobo, pointed out the clear evidence to the contrary, saying, “You realized that there is a video right that so otherwise shows.”

Another supporter, @Gobbyrocks, expressed frustration with Trump’s continued focus on crowd sizes, stating, “It’s not fake, Trump. Please fire your disastrous advisors immediately before we lose this election!”

The pushback didn’t stop there. @Magahlahgo added, “Are you ever going to talk about what you plan on doing if you win? Nobody cares about her crowds,” signaling a growing concern that Trump is losing sight of the important issues.

Some responses were even more blunt. User @Cordlopez urged Trump to “Please shut the f— up and get focused,” while @Witness023 advised, “No. Consult with a good expert on this. They are going to make us look dumb.”

The sentiment was echoed by @Deplorable59, who warned Trump to “STFU about the crowd size.” The user continued, “She’s getting bigger crowds now face that fact. You’re gonna lose this! Stop with this bulls— – get out on the road. Talk to the people—don’t talk about her personally. Talk about the issues and what you will do to change things. You’re our only hope—you gotta stop screwing it up!”

Karlyn Borysenko, another conservative voice, chimed in, emphasizing the need for Trump to “start hinging back into reality and stop listening to anyone who lies to you about Kamala’s campaign.” She clarified that the crowd was real, noting, “This is a video that aired live of the event. It is real. The photos are being generated from a parody account.”

Conservative influencer Ian Miles Cheong also addressed the issue, writing, “Kamala’s crowd at the airport was in fact real. You can claim they’re paid actors or that they were just there for a concert but they are definitely not AI.”

The backlash highlights the growing impatience among some of Trump’s supporters, who are urging him to focus on the issues that matter to voters rather than indulging in baseless claims. As the 2024 election draws nearer, this internal criticism could signal a shift in how Trump’s base perceives his campaign strategy.
