Former President Donald Trump took his verbal attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris to a new low during a rally in Pennsylvania, referring to her as a “sh*t vice president” in a crude rant. The inflammatory comments came as Trump urged his supporters to reject Harris and her leadership.

“So you have to tell Kamala Harris that you’ve had enough. That you just can’t take it anymore,” he jeered to the crowd’s cheers. “We can’t stand you, you’re a shit vice president! The worst!” Trump added, “You’re the worst vice president. Kamala, you’re fired! Get the hell out of here, you’re fired!”

According to The New York Times, Trump shared a story during the rally about Christian leader Franklin Graham advising him to tone down his language. “I wrote him back,” Trump said. “I said, I’m going to try to do that, but actually, the stories won’t be as good. Because you can’t put the same emphasis on it. So tonight, I broke my rule.”

Harris Responds: Trump Is “Demeaning the Office”

In response to Trump’s insults, Harris condemned his rhetoric during an interview with Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC. She accused Trump of degrading the dignity of the office and asserted that he is unfit for leadership. “Donald Trump should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States. He has not earned the right. He’s not earned the right, and that’s why he’s going to lose,” Harris said.

The former president’s vulgar language sparked widespread criticism, with one social media user remarking, “Trump called Kamala Harris a ‘sh*t VP’ tonight. He is crossing a line in desperation. His only currency is to shock and insult.”

History of Attacking Harris and Her Identity

As per BBC, This is not the first time Trump has targeted Harris with divisive rhetoric. During the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago in August, Trump questioned Harris’ racial identity, asking, “Is she Indian? Or is she Black?” Harris, who is of Indian and Jamaican descent, responded by calling Trump’s remarks part of the “same old show” of “divisiveness and disrespect.”

Harris is the first Black and Asian-American vice president, and she is a member of the historically Black Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority from her time at Howard University. Trump has a long history of using race to disparage his opponents. He famously promoted the false claim that Barack Obama, the nation’s first Black president, was not born in the United States. He has also attacked his Republican primary opponent, Nikki Haley, suggesting she was unfit for office because her parents were not U.S. citizens when she was born.

Criticizing Harris’ Qualifications

Trump has also taken aim at Harris’ professional qualifications, claiming she failed her bar exam earlier in her career. While Harris did fail the California bar exam on her first attempt, she passed on her second try. The California State Bar notes that less than half of test-takers pass the notoriously difficult exam on their first attempt.

Throughout his political career, Trump has repeatedly attacked Harris on both personal and professional levels, often using divisive and inflammatory language. His latest comments in Pennsylvania continue this pattern, drawing criticism for their vulgarity and disrespect.
