Late Wednesday night, former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to deliver a scathing critique of Vice President Kamala Harris following her Fox News interview with host Bret Baier. The interview, which garnered attention for Baier’s frequent interruptions and refusal to let Harris fully answer his questions, became a point of contention among viewers. Trump, however, used the moment to accuse Harris of what he called “Trump derangement syndrome.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Great job by Bret Baier in his Interview with Lyin’ Kamala Harris. She has a massive and irredeemable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME – So bad, in fact, that she is barely able to talk about any subject other than the man who had the best economy ever, the strongest border in history, and who just got the UNANIMOUS ENDORSEMENT OF THE U.S. Border Patrol, ME!”

Trump’s remarks came after the interview drew widespread criticism for its combative nature. Many viewers took issue with Baier’s approach, accusing him of repeatedly talking over Harris and not allowing her to finish her responses. Harris herself remained composed during the interview, but the format left her unable to fully articulate her points on several key topics. Nonetheless, Trump seized the opportunity to frame the interview as a moment of victory, praising Baier’s performance while taking aim at Harris.

Trump continued his critique of Harris by referencing the U.S. Border Patrol’s recent endorsement of him, a point he used to contrast Harris’ role in the administration. “Their Endorsement was a TREMENDOUS HONOR!!! They said that Comrade Kamala did a terrible job, the absolute worst in memory, and can’t be allowed to do it again,” Trump wrote, doubling down on his assertion that Harris has been ineffective in her role as Vice President, particularly in matters related to immigration and border security.

The former president didn’t stop there. In his post, he also labeled Harris as “the WORST Vice President in history” and suggested that her “inferior Cognitive ability” should be tested. “She is also the WORST Vice President in history, but hopefully will soon be GONE. Again, congratulations to Bret Baier on a tough but very fair interview, one that clearly showed how totally incompetent Kamala is. For the good of our Nation, her inferior Cognitive ability must be tested at once!” Trump concluded.

Trump’s pointed remarks about Harris reflect the broader tensions between the two as political rivals. As the Vice President under President Joe Biden, Harris has frequently been a target of Trump’s criticism, particularly in areas like border security, where Trump touts his own administration’s policies as vastly superior. Harris, who has often defended the Biden administration’s approach, now finds herself facing Trump’s attacks once again as the former president positions himself for another run in the 2024 election.

Baier, who moderated the interview, has yet to respond directly to Trump’s praise or the criticism he received from viewers over his interviewing style. The Fox News interview with Harris touched on a range of issues, but Trump’s remarks have shifted the focus toward personal attacks and accusations, adding another layer of political drama in the run-up to the next presidential election.

As the dust settles from the interview, both Trump and Harris continue to draw clear lines between their political ideologies and leadership styles, with Trump’s latest post signaling that the battle of words between the two is far from over.
