MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has accused Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, of sabotaging his potential run for governor. Lindell voiced his grievances in a Tuesday interview on the War Room podcast, following Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ selection of Walz as her running mate.

Lindell criticized Walz’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the riots that ensued after George Floyd’s death. “He made horrible decisions with the China virus when that came in,” Lindell said. “We had to sit out in snow banks to eat.”

Lindell also recounted his attempts to provide masks to churches during the pandemic, alleging that Walz hindered his efforts by shutting down religious institutions. “And I was gonna run for governor of Minnesota after the 2020 election,” he revealed. “But Walz feared that and he put out a hit job on me throughout the state, sent postcards out everywhere.”

Expressing his frustration, Lindell questioned Walz’s competence and integrity. “Do we want this guy attacking me, attacking MyPillow?” Lindell asked. “He is a horrible, horrible governor, politician, and decision-maker.”

Lindell’s comments reflect his deep-seated resentment towards Walz, whom he blames for thwarting his political ambitions. As the election season heats up, such personal and pointed critiques highlight the intense political divisions and the high stakes of the current political landscape.
