Mary Trump, the estranged niece of former President Donald Trump, has called for the Army to investigate and potentially bring charges against Trump’s campaign team following an alleged altercation at Arlington National Cemetery. The incident reportedly took place on August 26, during a memorial for the 13 U.S. service members killed in a bombing during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

According to reports, Trump’s staff clashed with a cemetery employee who attempted to prevent them from filming video footage at a gravesite, violating Arlington’s regulations. Despite the cemetery’s restrictions, the Trump campaign later released a TikTok video using footage from the memorial.

Mary Trump, a vocal critic of her uncle, expressed her outrage in a blog post on The Good in Us, accusing the former president and his team of “desecrating the hallowed ground of Arlington.” She called on the Democratic Party to hold hearings and demand the release of the footage allegedly showing the altercation.

“The Army, which manages Arlington National Cemetery, needs to investigate and bring charges if necessary,” she wrote. Military officials confirmed that filming campaign videos at Arlington is illegal. The cemetery staff member involved in the incident reportedly chose not to press charges, citing concerns about retaliation from Trump’s supporters, according to Newsweek.

Donald Trump has denied any conflict took place. In a Truth Social post on September 3, he dismissed the reports as fabricated, writing, “There was no conflict or ‘fighting’ at Arlington National Cemetery last week. It was a made-up story by Comrade Kamala and her misinformation squad.”

Mary Trump criticized her uncle’s response, accusing him of failing to take responsibility and lying about the incident. “Donald, as he often does, compounded his original transgression by failing to take responsibility for it, lying about it, and then blaming the incident on the Gold Star families who invited him there in the first place,” she wrote.

The alleged altercation has prompted calls for accountability, with many urging a thorough investigation into the Trump campaign’s conduct at Arlington National Cemetery. As the situation unfolds, pressure is mounting on military officials to address the incident and ensure that such actions are properly investigated.
