Marjorie Taylor Greene Responds to Mark Cuban’s Comments on Trump’s Inner Circle with Gym Workout
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene took an unusual approach to respond to billionaire Mark Cuban’s recent comments about Donald Trump’s inner circle. After Cuban appeared on The View and remarked, “You never see him hanging around strong, intelligent women. Ever,” Greene, a staunch Trump supporter, decided to answer his criticism from her home gym, posting a video of herself doing pull-ups to demonstrate that Trump has the support of “strong, intelligent women.”
In the video, Greene began by referencing Cuban’s remarks, as well as President Joe Biden’s past comments about Trump supporters. “Ok guys, check this out: first, we have Joe Biden calling all of us ‘garbage.’ Now Mark Cuban has come out and said there are no strong, intelligent women supporting Trump,” she stated before launching into a set of pull-ups.
Greene didn’t hold back, adding her own digs at Cuban, calling him “low testosterone” and likening his appearance to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. She went on to list her credentials, saying, “I graduated from UGA with a business degree, I run a very successful construction company in Georgia, and now I’m going on my third term in Congress. I love guns, especially AR15s, and I support President Trump.”
This isn’t the first time Greene has combined fitness with political responses. Earlier in the year, after Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett made a jab at Greene’s appearance, calling her a “bleach blonde bad-built butch,” Greene fired back by sharing a video of herself performing clean-and-jerk lifts. In the post, she highlighted her dedication to fitness, saying her strength came “not with nips, tucks, plastic, or silicone, but through a healthy lifestyle.”
She encouraged her followers to “lift, run, swim, play sports, surf, ski, climb and LIVE this life to the fullest” as she neared her 50th birthday. The back-and-forth between Greene and Crockett stems from a tense exchange at a House Oversight Committee meeting earlier this year. At the time, committee members had gathered to discuss whether Attorney General Merrick Garland should be held in contempt of Congress, as per The Independent.
Tensions rose, especially when Greene made comments about Crockett’s “fake eyelashes.” Crockett shot back with, “If someone on this committee starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde, bad-built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” leading to a heated exchange that eventually drew rebukes from colleagues, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called Greene’s remarks “disgusting” and “unacceptable.” House Speaker Mike Johnson later intervened, urging everyone on the committee to “treat one another with dignity and respect.”
Greene’s video response to Cuban has sparked renewed debate on the role of women within Trump’s political sphere. At a recent event in Macon, Georgia, Greene appeared on stage with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, where the two women defended Trump’s record on promoting women in politics. “The left does not care about empowering women,” Sanders declared, attributing her own political career to Trump’s support. “But Donald Trump does,” she added, emphasizing that Trump has been instrumental in advancing women’s roles within conservative politics, as per the Wall Street Journal.
The exchanges highlight the ways in which Greene and other female Trump supporters are pushing back against criticisms that Trump lacks the support of strong, intelligent women. By combining personal accomplishments with visible support for Trump, Greene and others continue to frame their allegiance as one of strength and resilience, seeking to redefine the narrative around women’s roles in Trump’s inner circle.
