Just days after Donald Trump’s legal counsel Alina Habba ridiculed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for her previous work as a bartender, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) joined in with her own personal attacks on the progressive lawmaker during an appearance on The Eric Bolling Show on Tuesday, March 25.
The conversation turned toward future Democratic leadership, with host Eric Bolling speculating about Ocasio-Cortez’s potential influence in the 2028 presidential race. “And by the way, I think AOC is gonna have a little something to say about who’s gonna be the nominee in ’28,” Bolling remarked, as per Mediaite.

Greene was quick to seize the opportunity, launching into a critique of Ocasio-Cortez’s personal life and professional background. “Yeah, I can weigh in on her,” Greene said. “This is a woman – she’s never been married, she has no children, she’s never had a job other than working in a bar.”
The Georgia congresswoman went on to say, “She’s never run a business. This is a woman who has really no life experience and has no life wisdom because she’s never done any of those things.”

Greene also accused Ocasio-Cortez of being more of a performer than a policymaker. “This is why no one will take her seriously as a presidential candidate,” she said, calling AOC “an actress” who is “propped up by the Democrat progressive establishment.”
The remarks echoed Alina Habba’s recent appearance on Hannity, where she mocked a viral “Choose Your Fighter” TikTok video featuring Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), and other Democratic women. “What intellectual thought, Sean? The last I saw, they’re dancing down the halls of Congress,” Habba said.

She added sarcastically, “You were in a bar, AOC. Calm down. And not to have a drink, to serve one.” Despite the ongoing attacks, Ocasio-Cortez has been unapologetic about her working-class roots. In a 2019 speech, she proudly defended her background, saying, “I’m proud to be a bartender, ain’t nothing wrong with that.”
“There is everything dignified about being a working person in the United States of America,” she continued. “If I could work in a restaurant and become a member of the United States Congress, so can you.” Before entering politics, Ocasio-Cortez worked as a bartender and waitress at Flats Fix, a taco and tequila bar in Manhattan—a background she has consistently cited as a source of pride and reliability.
