Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Thursday criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, who many speculate could be next in line if President Joe Biden steps down from his presidential campaign. Greene accused Harris of being a liar based on a conspiracy theory that Harris has been covering up Biden’s alleged cognitive decline.

“Of all the people that work close to Joe Biden, as VP, Kamala Harris is the closest and she never told the American people how bad Joe Biden is cognitively impaired,” Greene wrote. “She is perhaps the biggest of all liars.”

The Republican lawmaker further questioned, “How dare she keep this a secret and lie to America like this?!” Greene’s comments were met with significant backlash, particularly from those who viewed them as baseless and politically motivated.

One Twitter user, @4HumanUnity, responded with disbelief: “Are you serious?”

The user elaborated, “Cognitive assessments and medical evaluations are the domain of medical professionals, not political colleagues. There is no official medical diagnosis stating President Biden is cognitively impaired. Have you heard Trump at his rallies when the teleprompter fails? He sounds like a spoiled child, rambling about batteries, sharks, and his hair in the shower!”

They continued to challenge Greene’s accusations, stating, “Calling Kamala Harris ‘the biggest of all liars’ is an unsubstantiated, inflammatory accusation and a blatant lie.” The response highlighted a broader frustration with Greene’s comments, pointing out inconsistencies and perceived hypocrisy: “Trump lied over 30,000 times in just four years. Where were you? Oh, right, pushing his lies.”

The exchange underscores the heightened tensions and partisan rhetoric that have characterized recent political discourse. As speculation around Biden’s future and potential candidacy continues, figures like Greene are likely to keep fueling controversy and debate.

In the face of such accusations, it remains critical for public figures to rely on substantiated facts and professional assessments, especially concerning matters as serious as the cognitive health of a sitting president. The discourse surrounding these issues will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping public opinion as the political landscape continues to evolve.
