“A Celebration of Strength, Resilience, and Patriotism”: Lara Trump Launches Athleisure Line

Lara Trump, Republican National Committee co-chair and daughter-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump unveiled her latest venture this week: an athleisure brand. Dubbed the LT Brand by Lara Trump Collection, the activewear line was announced on Instagram with much fanfare on Wednesday.

“This isn’t just activewear—it’s a celebration of strength, resilience, and patriotism,” Trump wrote in her post. “Designed for women from all walks of life, it’s made for the achievers, the go-getters, and those striving to be their best every single day.” The announcement was met with enthusiasm from some corners, including Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s campaign spokesperson, who replied on Instagram, “Oh my gosh I’m so excited for this.”

However, reactions elsewhere were less enthusiastic. Right-wing watchdog group Patriot Takes highlighted the announcement on Bluesky, commenting, “Lara Trump is now selling her own line of athleisure wear. It never stops.” Writer Oeishik cheekily asked, “What happened to be senator from Florida?” Another user quipped, “She is a multitasker, apparently,” while comedian Jay Lionel dismissed the line as “Top end prices, quality of Temu” and joked, “Trump diapers next.”

Lara Trump has recently been floated as a potential candidate to fill the Florida Senate seat left vacant by Marco Rubio, tapped by Donald Trump to serve as Secretary of State. The athleisure launch adds another layer to her public profile, though not all believe it enhances her credibility.

Political features writer Kara Voght of the Washington Post shared the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) with a skeptical tone, noting, “RNC co-chair (and perhaps future Florida senator?) Lara Trump has just launched a line of activewear.”

Lara Trump’s fashion sense has been the subject of ridicule before. Humorist Paul Rudnick, known for his jabs at the Trump family, resurfaced to mock her qualifications and taste. “Lara, the Dumbest Trump, wants to be the senator from Florida,” Rudnick wrote, listing faux qualifications like, “Thought the directions on her Roomba were the Constitution” and “Dated a Roomba—married a Roomba.”

While the LT Brand by Lara Trump Collection aims to inspire confidence and patriotism, it has also sparked its fair share of derision online, with critics questioning whether her foray into athleisure aligns with her political ambitions.
