Heartbroken Groom Mourns Loss of Bride in Tragic Wedding Day Crash: A Remarkable Soul
In a deeply emotional interview, Aric Hutchinson publicly shared his heartbreak for the first time after losing his bride, Samantha Miller, in a tragic crash caused by an alleged drunk driver just hours after their wedding.
The devastating incident occurred in South Carolina when Miller, 34, and Hutchinson were riding in a golf cart, shortly after exchanging their vows. Their joyous celebration took a tragic turn when their cart was struck from behind.
Tragically, Miller lost her life in the accident, while Hutchinson sustained critical injuries. He suffered extensive injuries, including broken legs, facial fractures, a back injury, brain bleeds, and multiple cuts.
Recalling their special day, Hutchinson expressed how genuinely happy Miller was. Despite the usual stress that comes with wedding planning, she exuded a sense of calm that night. The reception that followed their ceremony was one of the most memorable nights of their lives.
The driver responsible for the crash, 25-year-old Jamie Komoroski, was arrested and now faces charges including three counts of driving under the influence, causing serious bodily injury or death, as well as one count of reckless homicide.
According to a police report from the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety, Komoroski was allegedly driving at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone when the collision occurred. Police also revealed that her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. A lawsuit alleges that Komoroski had been barhopping prior to the crash.
When asked about addressing the driver, Hutchinson shared that he currently lacked the capacity to do so. Overwhelmed by grief, he expressed, “I can’t right now. I’d like to. I mean, she stole an amazing human being that should not have been taken away.”
The loss of Samantha Miller in such a senseless tragedy has left Hutchinson devastated, as he struggles to come to terms with the untimely loss of his beloved wife.
