A 16-year-old tragically lost their life on Saturday after falling from a balcony on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas cruise ship. The details of the incident, including whether it was accidental or intentional, remain unclear. Passengers on the ship reported to TMZ that the teenager fell onto a deck below.
According to a report by FOX 35, an early morning announcement on the ship requested passengers to donate blood, indicating the seriousness of the situation. Despite being taken to a hospital, the teen unfortunately did not survive.
Photographs taken by a passenger on the ship reveal a section of the balcony and deck area cordoned off with yellow caution tape, a tent, and a temporary wall, marking the location of the incident.
The Allure of the Seas was in the midst of a 3-day journey, traveling between Port Canaveral, Florida, and Nassau in the Bahamas, when the tragedy occurred.
Royal Caribbean, while not providing specific details about the incident, confirmed the death of a passenger. A spokesperson for the cruise line expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased, stating, “We are saddened to learn of the passing of a guest and our hearts go out to the family.
