Croatian Electric Supercar goes for sale

With an idea to create an exceptional electric supercar with a new propulsion concept, Croatian automotive startup Rimac Automobili has produced an electric supercar dubbed Concept One. Debuted last year at the Frankfurt Auto Show, Rimac has now officially opened the order books for Concept One that blends horsepower and sleek design that is redefining the term ‘supercar’ into magnificent perfection. It went on sale at the start of the Top Marques Monaco, where Prince Albert II of Monaco also spent some time checking out some supercars of his interests.

Rimac Automobili developed this exceptional supercar over the time of two years, after the company’s founder, Mate Rimac converted his old BMW to a race EV. Then he explored the technology from every part and began to team-up with renowned automobile experts to develop a next-generation super car, also described as world’s first electric hyper car.

With a total of 1,088 horsepower under the hood, Concept One officially joins the exclusive club of supercars, such as the Bugatti roadster Veyron 16.4 that boasts massive 1,200hp. Also in the league is the Pagani Huayra, the beast of a super car designed by legendary Horacio Pagani with an envision of it as a rolling form of art that can exceed over 230 mph.

The car has a unique power-train which is divided into four sub-systems with each of the systems drives one wheel, which works completely independent from each other, and it’s called ‘All Wheel Torque Vectoring’. Further, each wheel can independently accelerate and decelerate hundreds of times per second which helps to achieve the desired handling.

It’s 92 kWh heavy battery pack offers a 370-mile range, or less if an enthusiast is driving it at its top speed of 190-mph.
