A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend as a 3-year-old boy, Kyng Royal Foster, died after being dumped into a dumpster. His mother, Sunshine Davis, 24, and her 38-year-old boyfriend are the primary suspects in the case, prompting a widespread manhunt by the New York Police Department (NYPD).
Kyng was pronounced dead after Davis and her boyfriend allegedly abandoned him at University Hospital. Family members are now pleading with Davis to surrender to authorities. “I just want to say, Sunshine, if you’re seeing this, baby, turn yourself in,” said Sabrina Johnson, the boy’s godmother, during an interview with PIX11.

“It’s easier for you to turn yourself in and explain yourself, versus them finding you.” Johnson expressed concern over Davis’s relationship with her boyfriend, suggesting that she may have been manipulated. “She met this grown man….and she’s been manipulated. She is the sweetest kid but she has been manipulated all her life,” Johnson added. “She’s in danger.”
The NYPD is actively searching for the couple, who allegedly dumped the boy while he was unconscious. Authorities revealed to the New York Post that the child appeared to be covered in bruises, raising suspicions of foul play. Investigators believe the toddler may have been beaten, though the investigation is still in its early stages.

The boy’s grandmother, Kenyatta Foster, shared her grief with a local news outlet, saying, “It’s hurting me. I don’t know what to do right now. I don’t have any more grandkids.” As the search for Davis and her boyfriend intensifies, the community mourns the loss of young Kyng, while authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
