14-Year-Old ‘Endangered’ Girl Still Missing After Friend Found Safe

A desperate search continues for 14-year-old Surianneilys Perez-Sanchez, who remains missing after her friend, also reported missing, was recently located safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

The FDLE issued a Missing Child Alert for Perez-Sanchez on Tuesday, April 2, amid escalating fears for her safety. The teen was last seen on March 27 in the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Avenue in Bradenton, a city located roughly 45 miles south of Tampa.

Officials have classified her as “endangered,” citing an ongoing investigation, though they have not released further details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance. Authorities believe Perez-Sanchez may have traveled to the Pensacola area and could now be headed to Texas.

The alert was initially issued for both Perez-Sanchez and her friend, 14-year-old Marlen Daniela Cardona-Barahona. However, law enforcement has since confirmed that Cardona-Barahona has been found safe. The location and details surrounding her recovery have not been made public.

Perez-Sanchez is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 70 pounds, with distinctive red hair and brown eyes. She has several noticeable piercings, including in her nose, tongue, and abdomen. She primarily speaks Spanish, which could be a crucial detail in locating her.

Given the limited information and the possibility of interstate travel, authorities are urging the public, particularly those in Florida and Texas, to be vigilant and report any possible sightings or information.

The Bradenton Police Department is leading the search and asking anyone with information about Perez-Sanchez’s whereabouts to contact them directly at 941-932-9301 or dial 911 immediately.

As the investigation continues, time is of the essence, and the hope remains that Perez-Sanchez will be located safe and reunited with her family soon.
