Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Scary Fetal Surgery Ahead of Baby Rocky’s Birth

Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about a terrifying experience she endured before welcoming her fourth child, Rocky, her first with husband Travis Barker.
In the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the eldest Kardashian sister shared the ordeal of undergoing emergency fetal surgery. “A couple of months ago, we had a terrifying scare where I had to have emergency fetal surgery,” Kourtney revealed.
In a confessional, she explained, “Baby Rocky had to have fetal surgery for fluid in his lung. It’s super rare that this condition occurs, but it’s also super rare and lucky that we caught it. Thank you, God, for this successful surgery. I’m honestly just so grateful, I have no words.”
Reflecting on the aftermath, Kourtney admitted, “I was definitely filled with fear after the surgery. The fluid in his lungs did start coming back. Then I watched this documentary called Heal that was all about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health”, reported Hello Magazine.
She continued, “I started talking to the baby every day, saying my prayers. After I had that mindset shift, the fluid was completely gone, and we had not one single problem after.”
Kourtney also shared a personal detail about her recovery, saying, “I have a scar from my surgery where they went into my amniotic sac, so I’m like a fragile little egg.”
The successful surgery and Kourtney’s positive mindset have led to a healthy birth for baby Rocky. Her story highlights the importance of early detection and the power of maintaining a positive outlook during challenging times.
