Kim Kardashian Admits Feeling ‘Alone’ Raising Four Kids with Kanye West
Kim Kardashian recently opened up about the challenges of raising her four children with ex-husband Kanye West, admitting that she often feels “alone” in the process. Speaking on her friend Zoe Winkler’s podcast, What the Winkler? the reality star and entrepreneur shared her struggles with parenting, even with a strong support system around her.
“I think you and I’ve mostly connected on parenting, and judgment, and feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us,” Kim said, referring to the bond she shares with Winkler over the highs and lows of motherhood. Kim shares four children with Kanye: North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.
The 44-year-old reality star and business mogul went on to describe the tough moments that come with solo parenting. “But sometimes, in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up—it’s not something that I talk about a lot,” she admitted. “I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and help.’”
Kim emphasized that despite having assistance, the responsibility of raising her children ultimately falls on her. “And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself,” she said.
For those unfamiliar, Kim and Kanye separated in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in November 2022. Since then, Kim has been open about the complexities of co-parenting with Kanye, whose public controversies have often placed additional stress on their family dynamics.
While Kim has access to resources that ease some logistical aspects of parenting, her comments reveal the emotional challenges of being the primary caregiver to four young children. Her candid reflections resonate with many single parents who, despite having support, still feel the weight of the responsibility on their shoulders.
