The agreement also includes a provision that exempts them from participating in the Parent Education and Co-Parenting Effectively “P.E.A.C.E.” class, typically mandated for divorcing couples.
The legal documents detail that the resolution of their divorce was facilitated by a mutually agreed-upon Marital Settlement Agreement, addressing and settling the various aspects of their dissolution proceedings. A significant part of this agreement pertains to the custody arrangements for their three teenage children, Cayden, Hayes, and Grace, ensuring that their welfare and co-parenting arrangements are clearly defined.
Furthermore, the documents highlight a clause that allows for the possibility of court-mandated participation in the P.E.A.C.E. classes in the future, should any custody-related disputes arise between Costner and Baumgartner, reported US Weekly.
This finalization of their divorce comes on the heels of an announcement made five months prior, where a representative for Costner communicated that both he and Baumgartner had reached a harmonious resolution concerning their divorce, settling all related matters amicably.
The journey to this resolution began when Baumgartner initiated the divorce proceedings on May 1, citing irreconcilable differences after 18 years of marriage and marking April 11 as the separation date. Costner responded with a filing that echoed a desire for joint custody and highlighted the existence of a prenuptial agreement, which played a pivotal role in the discussions that followed.
