While talking to the New York Times, when queried about the absence of intimate details regarding her time with Kanye, she candidly responded, “Because there, like, wasn’t any. It wasn’t really about that.”
In a chat with E! News, Julia emphasized that her intention isn’t to harbor negativity towards Kanye. Mentioning their shared history covered in her memoir, she says, “I’m not trying to have bad blood or anything, it’s all in the past.” She expresses that the writing process helped her confront and process past experiences, calling it a cathartic journey.
Reflecting on her time with the ‘Donda’ artist, Julia previously mentioned that Kanye appeared to be grappling with personal issues, suggesting that she wasn’t emotionally equipped to support him through those challenges. She further told ES Magazine, “I’m proud of myself for that. Pre-Valentino Julia would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer.”
