Kanye West has once again ignited controversy, this time accusing ex-wife Kim Kardashian and what he called the “Kardashian mob” of stripping him of his parental rights — all while revealing he “didn’t want to have children” with the reality TV mogul.
In a bombshell interview with DJ Akademiks, shared via YouTube on March 30, the 47-year-old rapper opened up about the ongoing feud between him and Kim, particularly after she reportedly threatened legal action over their daughter North’s appearance in his latest music video with Diddy — claiming it was done “without consent.”

Kanye, clad in a dramatic black hood and robe that drew comparisons to the white outfits of the Ku Klux Klan, didn’t hold back. When Akademiks pointed out that Kanye had willingly chosen to be with Kim, the rapper took full responsibility — sort of.
“Absolutely, I did. That was my fault. No, that was my fault,” he said. But then came the jaw-dropper: “I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with them, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”
Kim and Kanye share four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. Despite having a legally agreed joint custody arrangement, Kanye claims he has no real say in his children’s lives — especially when it comes to how their likenesses are used in the media.
Referring to the backlash from Kim over North’s appearance in his video, Ye doubled down on the idea that he has been sidelined as a parent.
“Of all the brands I’ve made, I don’t got the name or likeness ownership, or at least 50-50, with my kids. So how is it joint custody?” he questioned. “My kids are celebrities and I don’t have a say.”
The tension reached new heights after North West was seen performing in Kanye’s video alongside Diddy, leading Kim to reportedly threaten legal action, claiming she was not consulted.

West’s explosive remarks come amid growing public scrutiny of celebrity co-parenting and the legal boundaries surrounding children’s appearances in media. With both Kim and Kanye being global icons — and their children quickly following suit — the debate over parental consent, celebrity influence, and control has taken center stage.
Kanye’s interview has since gone viral, sparking fierce online debate. Supporters say he’s being unfairly cut out of his kids’ lives, while critics accuse him of dragging his children into an already messy public battle.
As the Kardashian-West custody drama continues to unfold, one thing is certain — Kanye is not staying quiet. And if his words are anything to go by, this is far from over.
Whether courts or public opinion ultimately side with Kanye or Kim, the real question remains: who truly holds control when the kids involved are already celebrities themselves?
