Despite going through a divorce, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are making family their top priority. On September 14, the couple enjoyed a lunch outing with their children at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, a source told People magazine.
The family gathering included Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Emma and Max, as well as Affleck’s children, 15-year-old Seraphina and 12-year-old Samuel. Affleck’s oldest daughter, 18-year-old Violet, who recently started college, was not present. Lopez shares her twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares all three of his children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
“They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out,” the insider shared with People. The source added that while Lopez and Affleck are working through their divorce, they are keeping things amicable for the sake of their blended family.
“[Jennifer’s] trying to be friendly with Ben. They are still moving forward with the divorce, but they are working out financial details amicably,” the source explained. The insider also emphasized that Lopez’s focus remains on her children’s happiness.
“A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn’t want to be selfish about it. The kids always got along and had fun together. It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority.” This family lunch comes less than a month after Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck, but their commitment to keeping things positive for their children continues to be a key focus as they navigate their separation.
