Jennifer Garner is reportedly concerned about Ben Affleck’s smoking habit and has been urging him to quit for the sake of his health. According to In Touch, the mother of three has been especially worried about Affleck’s well-being since his split from Jennifer Lopez.
A source close to the former couple revealed, “Jen has very strict rules about him smoking, namely that he doesn’t do it anywhere near the children.” Garner, who shares three kids with Affleck, has reportedly been vocal about her displeasure with his smoking.
“She always nags him about smelling like smoke and what a gross habit it is,” the source added. But Garner’s biggest concern appears to be Affleck’s health. “Her biggest concern of all is his health,” the source noted, adding that she is “appalled that he’d treat his body that way.”
During his time with Jennifer Lopez, Affleck’s smoking was also a point of contention. An insider shared that Lopez, like Garner, tried to encourage Affleck to quit, but his efforts to break the habit were unsuccessful. “J. Lo loves Ben, but she’s tired of his nasty cigarettes,” the source said.
“She put up with his smoking at first because it’s his only vice left and she didn’t want to be a nag, but she can’t stand it.” Despite multiple attempts from both women to get Affleck to quit smoking, it seems the actor continues to struggle with kicking the habit.
